Conforme a confirma\u00e7\u00e3o da senci\u00eancia dos peixes ganha destaque, a preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o com o bem-estar animal aumenta, influenciando o mercado consumidor e as regulamenta\u00e7\u00f5es da aquicultura.<\/p><p>O bem-estar animal caracteriza o estado em que se encontram os animais, e aponta as estrat\u00e9gias para incrementar a sua qualidade de vida. Uma vez que os peixes possuem a capacidade de sentir dor (senci\u00eancia), seu bem-estar deve ser assegurado, dentro mesmo racioc\u00ednio empregado para outros animais vertebrados.\u00a0<\/p><p>O sistema relacionado \u00e0 consci\u00eancia da dor faz parte de uma estrutura cerebral complexa. Resumindo, as estruturas do c\u00e9rebro que transmitem a dor em outros vertebrados tamb\u00e9m s\u00e3o encontradas em peixes (Figura 1). Fonte: BSDCONSULTING<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-def02e2 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default exad-glass-effect-no exad-sticky-section-no\" data-id=\"def02e2\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-6a8f0d3 exad-glass-effect-no exad-sticky-section-no\" data-id=\"6a8f0d3\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-19b9795 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"19b9795\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Na piscicultura, o grau de bem-estar pode ser influenciado pelo manejo rotineiro, causando estresse devido \u00e0 introdu\u00e7\u00e3o de objetos estranhos na \u00e1gua, retirada do animal do ambiente aqu\u00e1tico para conten\u00e7\u00e3o individual ou aglomera\u00e7\u00e3o subaqu\u00e1tica, entre outros (CONTE, 2004).\u00a0Por exemplo, o manejo necess\u00e1rio para a classifica\u00e7\u00e3o e biometria dos peixes pode causar estresse f\u00edsico e psicol\u00f3gico.\u00a0Al\u00e9m disso, a qualidade da \u00e1gua e os par\u00e2metros ambientais associados requerem grande aten\u00e7\u00e3o, como por exemplo, o oxig\u00eanio dissolvido na \u00e1gua, pH, temperatura e luminosidade que s\u00e3o fatores ambientais que podem comprometer a homeostase dos peixes (PEDRAZZANI, 2007).<\/p><p>A densidade de estocagem em sistemas de piscicultura \u00e9 outro importante ponto cr\u00edtico de bem-estar em cultivos, pois, se empregada de maneira equivocada, pode afetar o comportamento dos peixes. Para manuten\u00e7\u00e3o do bem-estar uma dieta nutricionalmente equilibrada \u00e9 fundamental para manter o funcionamento org\u00e2nico normal e a resist\u00eancia dos peixes \u00e0s doen\u00e7as (ROBB, 2002).\u00a0<\/p><p>De acordo com VAN DE VIS (2003), outro ponto cr\u00edtico de bem-estar \u00e9 o manejo pr\u00e9-abate e abate.\u00a0Durante a captura em massa os peixes podem sofrer m\u00faltiplas les\u00f5es devido \u00e0 superlota\u00e7\u00e3o, resultando em produ\u00e7\u00e3o excessiva de muco, perda de escamas, danos \u00e0s br\u00e2nquias epit\u00e9lio, hematomas e fraturas \u00f3sseas e condi\u00e7\u00f5es ambientais extremas, como exposi\u00e7\u00e3o ao ar e \u00e0 luminosidade, bem como choque na qualidade da \u00e1gua.\u00a0<\/p><p>Segundo PEDRAZZANI (2020) devido ao n\u00famero e \u00e0 diversidade de pontos cr\u00edticos de bem-estar na piscicultura, avaliar o grau de bem-estar dos peixes cultivados requer o desenvolvimento de t\u00e9cnicas de diagn\u00f3stico da situa\u00e7\u00e3o e demanda mudan\u00e7as nas pr\u00e1ticas pecu\u00e1rias. Estas pr\u00e1ticas precisam incentivar o desenvolvimento de t\u00e9cnicas humanit\u00e1rias de produ\u00e7\u00e3o.
