Em v\u00e1rios locais onde se pratica a coleta de peixes ornamentais, h\u00e1 um limite do n\u00famero de animais de cada esp\u00e9cie a ser explorada. Infelizmente, geralmente um ou mais destes dados n\u00e3o est\u00e3o dispon\u00edveis <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">[<\/span><a title=\"Wood, 2001 #7\" href=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/Users\/Antonio.Ostrensky\/Dropbox\/Ana%20Silvia\/Artigo\/Site%20GIA\/artigo%20GIA%202.docx#_ENREF_5\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: windowtext; text-decoration: none;\">5<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">]<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">. Poucos trabalhos de monitoramento de pesca e exporta\u00e7\u00e3o t\u00eam sidos realizados de forma isolada em alguns estados do pa\u00eds <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; text-transform: uppercase;\">[<\/span><a title=\"Nottingham, 2005 #2\" href=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/Users\/Antonio.Ostrensky\/Dropbox\/Ana%20Silvia\/Artigo\/Site%20GIA\/artigo%20GIA%202.docx#_ENREF_9\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: windowtext; text-transform: uppercase; text-decoration: none;\">9-11<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; text-transform: uppercase;\">]<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; text-transform: uppercase;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Inclusive n\u00e3o se tem informa\u00e7\u00f5es precisas dos coletores, que na sua maioria trabalham ilegalmente. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.4pt; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">No Brasil, n\u00e3o existem tamb\u00e9m bancos de dados informatizados de transporte e venda interestadual, de proced\u00eancia dos animais, ficando o acompanhamento da atividade somente na inst\u00e2ncia burocr\u00e1tica. Dentre os fatores respons\u00e1veis pela aus\u00eancia destes dados destacam-se a escassez de recursos para as pesquisas b\u00e1sicas, a falta de confian\u00e7a nos dados fornecidos por alguns empres\u00e1rios, a insufici\u00eancia de fiscaliza\u00e7\u00e3o e o despreparo de alguns fiscais, al\u00e9m das constantes mudan\u00e7as de institui\u00e7\u00f5es federais e regionais respons\u00e1veis pelo controle dos processos de comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">[<\/span><a title=\"Ara\u00fajo, 2007 #114\" href=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/Users\/Antonio.Ostrensky\/Dropbox\/Ana%20Silvia\/Artigo\/Site%20GIA\/artigo%20GIA%202.docx#_ENREF_12\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: windowtext; text-decoration: none;\">12<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">]<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.45pt; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Os formul\u00e1rios de controle de exporta\u00e7\u00e3o de peixes marinhos do IBAMA, preenchidos pelos comerciantes, geralmente cont\u00eam erros relacionados \u00e0s esp\u00e9cies e os n\u00fameros de exporta\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00e3o subestimados para redu\u00e7\u00e3o de custos e ou para burlar o sistema de cotas estabelecido. De acordo com Monteiro-Neto <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">[<\/span><a title=\"MONTEIRO-NETO, 2003 #3\" href=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/Users\/Antonio.Ostrensky\/Dropbox\/Ana%20Silvia\/Artigo\/Site%20GIA\/artigo%20GIA%202.docx#_ENREF_13\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: windowtext; text-decoration: none;\">13<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">]<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"> a identifica\u00e7\u00e3o err\u00f4nea de esp\u00e9cies em guias de exporta\u00e7\u00e3o do IBAMA era fato frequente. Os cavalos-marinhos <em>Hipppocampus reidi ou H. erectus<\/em>, eram identificados como <em>Hippocampus<\/em> <em>kuda <\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">[<\/span><a title=\"MONTEIRO-NETO, 2003 #3\" href=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/Users\/Antonio.Ostrensky\/Dropbox\/Ana%20Silvia\/Artigo\/Site%20GIA\/artigo%20GIA%202.docx#_ENREF_13\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: windowtext; text-decoration: none;\">13<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">]<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">. Este problema de erro de identifica\u00e7\u00e3o foi minimizado com a implanta\u00e7\u00e3o da Instru\u00e7\u00e3o Normativa IBAMA n\u00b0 56 de outubro de 2004, que listava as esp\u00e9cies de peixes marinhos e estuarinos nativos permitidos \u00e0 comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o para fins ornamentais, e fornecia um guia ilustrado de identifica\u00e7\u00e3o dos animais. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.4pt; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">A Austr\u00e1lia, as Ilhas Cook e os Estados Unidos s\u00e3o exemplos de poucos locais que mant\u00eam registros eficazes de suas coletas. No Hawaii, o monitoramento de 23 pontos de coleta ao longo de 230 km de costa litor\u00e2nea, demonstrou que oito das dez esp\u00e9cies mais coletadas na regi\u00e3o estavam significativamente reduzidas em abund\u00e2ncia quando comparadas com \u00e1reas de controle. As percentagens de decl\u00ednio encontradas foram de 57% em cirurgi\u00e3o <em>Acanthurus achilles<\/em> e 38% em peixe borboleta <em>Chaetodon multicinctus\u00a0 <\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">[<\/span><a title=\"TISSOT, 2003 #6\" href=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/Users\/Antonio.Ostrensky\/Dropbox\/Ana%20Silvia\/Artigo\/Site%20GIA\/artigo%20GIA%202.docx#_ENREF_14\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: windowtext; text-decoration: none;\">14<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">]<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">. Um modelo a ser seguido refere-se \u00e1s medidas adotadas pelo Conselho de Aquarismo Marinho (Marine Aquarium Council &#8211; MAC). O MAC \u00e9 uma organiza\u00e7\u00e3o internacional n\u00e3o-governamental, sem fins lucrativos, que lan\u00e7ou em 2001 um sistema de certifica\u00e7\u00e3o internacional com o objetivo de proteger os recifes de coral e assegurar responsabilidade e sustentabilidade ao com\u00e9rcio de marinhos ornamentais. O MAC criou normas fundamentais, que abrangem a cadeia de fornecimento de animais de recife para varejo, em conformidade com a Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Mundial do Com\u00e9rcio (OMC), envolvendo todos os interessados \u200b\u200bno com\u00e9rcio mar\u00edtimo ornamental <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">[<\/span><a title=\"MAC, 2011 #14\" href=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/Users\/Antonio.Ostrensky\/Dropbox\/Ana%20Silvia\/Artigo\/Site%20GIA\/artigo%20GIA%202.docx#_ENREF_15\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: windowtext; text-decoration: none;\">15<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">]<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">. Somente um programa de treinamento e conscientiza\u00e7\u00e3o sobre sustentabilidade, e m\u00e9todos de coleta ambientalmente corretos n\u00e3o garantiriam a convers\u00e3o do uso de cianeto para m\u00e9todos n\u00e3o destrutivos por parte dos coletores.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Al\u00e9m do incentivo s\u00f3cio econ\u00f4mico, h\u00e1 urgente necessidade de desenvolvimento de pesquisas com o objetivo de proporcionar alternativas de fornecimento para o mercado do aquarismo, tornando-o uma atividade ecologicamente correta. O CORDIO (Coastal Oceans Research and Developmen in the Indian Ocean) \u00e9 um programa colaborativo entre pesquisadores de 11 pa\u00edses localizados no Oceano \u00cdndico, criado em 1999 para avaliar a degrada\u00e7\u00e3o dos recifes de coral da regi\u00e3o.
